Before your session
I do not send out designs in advance and most often work by freehanding/drawing directly onto the client’s skin. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your tattoo design before your appointment.
If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please give me as much advance notice as possible. Deposits are forfeited if the appointment is rescheduled within a week of the arranged date. Please refer to my deposit Ts&Cs.
On the day
The studio is small, so we are unable to accommodate anyone other than clients. Friends are welcome to pop in briefly to drop you off. Dogs are also not allowed, because we have a shop dog, Dallas the whippet.
I am very used to dealing with client nerves/anxiety and will do everything I can to make sure you have a fun, relaxed and comfortable experience.
The closest car park is the NCP Car Park Brighton Theatre, it’s small and expensive. Cheaper parking can be found further out in the city, I recommend the Parkopedia app.
Please note I am now only taking card payments. Please do not bring cash to your appointment.
Always eat a carbohydrate-heavy meal and drink water prior to your tattoo. Please bring water, a sugary drink and snacks with you, lunch if it’s a day session (there are places to buy food nearby). I will not tattoo you unless you have eaten something carb-based within the past few hours.
Please wear comfortable/old clothing (or bring with you) that allows easy access to the area we are tattooing and that isn’t precious. For back pieces an old shirt is most practical.
Please bring proof of age (clients must be 18+).
Please allow for time at the end of the session for the tattoo to be bandaged/photographed and do not book transport/dinner etc for immediately after the end of your session, so that you can have a relaxed and peaceful experience. I will be able to give you a rough estimate of time for the session.
Please make sure you have read the aftercare advice.
The Dollhouse is an inclusive space; we do not tolerate any forms of discriminatory behaviour or speech and want to ensure every client feels at home. I will always provide privacy for clients and if you would like to let me know your pronouns or any other important information I should be aware of please let me know via email.
I look forward to seeing you in the studio.
Covid-19 Regulations
If you test positive and/or experience symptoms, please contact me to reschedule if your appointment falls within the isolation period. If you’ve recently had Covid, please ensure you are testing negative at least one or two days before your appointment.
Please do not come to your appointment if you are ill, whether Covid or something else.
Masks are no longer required at the studio, however if you would prefer to wear one and would like us to also wear one, we will be happy to do that.
The Dollhouse follows an extremely rigorous cleaning and hygiene maintenance routine before and after every client.
